On a dark and icy cold evening in January 2021 I started to work on the first song for this project. Now, after almost two and a half years of composing, recording, planning, overthinking, dancing and working on the artwork, the videos and some more things, our journey to the release of Sway is coming to its end soon. It’s been an intense, fulfilling and sometimes exhausting path with many tiny steps back and forth on different layers.
Sway is finally released on all platforms next Friday, the 19th of May. If you want to see and hear Palmanu live, get your own CD or celebrate together, come to one of the upcoming concerts:
16th of May 2023 | Salzburg | Off Theater | Bandset | Get your tickets here
18th of May 2023 | Vienna | Kramladen | Bandset | with Ines Mag’s | Only box office
25th of May 2023 | Innsbruck | Wohnzimmer.Bar CANCELLED
30th of May 2023 | Hamburg | Pony Bar | Free donation
3rd of June 2023 | Fürth | Café Zanetta | with Erna & Fred | Free Donation
I am looking forward to seeing you at one of these evenings!!
Today, I want to show you the artwork of Sway, which was designed by my good friend Valentin Muth. The pictures were made by the wonderful Amélie Chapalain in the Augarten in Vienna.

As you can see on the back side of the artwork, every song has its own symbol linked to an individual meaning. If you manage to find out all of the symbols’ meanings, you know me well ;)
I also want to give you insight into the recording process of the album, which took place on quite some different spots: my living room, Mario’s studio, Lukas’ living room, the Schauspielhaus Salzburg, the Cemetery Church Murau, the house where I grew up, close by the Königseeache and a beach in Ice Land.

With these pictures I am coming to the end of the journey leading to the release of Sway. In June, when all the concerts are played and the album is released, you’ll get one more Soundletter with impressions of the concerts.
If you want to share your resonances and thoughts about my Soundletters and the album, feel free to write me some lines! I am looking forward to that!
A little excited about all the concerts coming up, I am sending you warm greetings from the Kalvarienberg
best, MJ
